35Lux FLE.....just do it and be done with it, you won't regret it a bit.   I would agree with Mike, 28mm is your next option but the frame lines more of less boarder the edge of the viewfinder; the 35 gives you space to see outside the frame lines.  If you wear glasses, you will be able to see the 35 frame lines, not so much with the 28.  Happy shopping!

Maybe an M4-P with a 28/2.8 ASPH?

I'd prefer 2.0 or better, I'm probably going to put a red filter on it so the wider the better.

Although I may just have found a IIIa with a 50/2.0 that I can't turn down.......

35 Summicron-Asph. for sure. It's a terrific lens for travel, people (environmental portraits), and landscapes.

I prefer the Summicron-M 35mm (version iV)  (directly before the asph) . It is tiny and a bit old-fashioned (a classic).

IQ is still excellent, and if I really think it is not good enough then I take the Elmarit-M 28 .

I have plenty of ISO (1600, 3200 or rarely 6400) and do not care for top aperture in the WAs (using M246 and SL).
