I hear that the Leica S-007 can comfortably shoot at ISO of 1600 plus. I wondered if anyone has got pictures to show/prove that. I know that my S006 struggled at anything over 800 and even at 800 it didn't look to great.

Anyway if any of you have got some pictures to share preferably hand held shots >1600 ISO I would love to see some?

Thanks

Neil

Here is one from the Faroe Islands taken around 22h in the evening at 1.600 ISO and handheld.

On a rare occasion I have saved a tiff but named it .jpg out of CS PS. Forgot the drop down conversion to JPEG prior to saving and copied the previous name +1.

Looked like a JPEG named like one but unable to post anywhere.

Just a thought.

Neil,

Both Camera West and David Farkas have done reviews on the S007 and have posted high ISO pictures with the camera.

Look at David's REDDOTFORUM blog and Iceland trip and Camera West's blog where Sean Cranor posted nighttime comparisons of ISO levels.

Good you already committed to the camera as both will convince you that probably should.

I have lots Neil, what sort of thing do you want to see?

Anything really mate, street shots, portraiture, just something with an ISO 1600 and above. Like I said my 006 files at ISO800 are horrible :(

Here's a random, very low light, handheld ISO1600 with the 180mm. Only a small window for light and pushed fairly hard in post.

Here's one with more light, still handheld at 1600

Fantastic Mat......thanks for sharing

Here's another, this time it has had absolutely nothing done to it, it's a rubbish shot as I was just checking out this side of the fence looking for a composition and didn't like it so was never processed, it is ISO1600, handheld with the 35mm.

Hi Bob, that's not it in my case. Save as JPG for Web with Photoshop, but they do not show. Strange. Sent the original poster the high-res files instead.
