Maggie_O Posted June 16, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 16, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think the ultimate Leica for the still photographer would be a Typ262 M-P, in black or silver chrome. Who's with me?
Advertisement Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Hi Maggie_O, Take a look here My ideal Leica would be an M-P (typ 262)...how about it, Leica?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rebelfocus Posted June 17, 2016 Share #2 Posted June 17, 2016 I'm with you on that. Would be great to have that body with sapphire screen cover and larger buffer. I would forego making the top plate in brass though as they would mean a weight increase back to Typ 240 levels.
Maggie_O Posted June 17, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted June 17, 2016 I assume that the aluminum top could be finished in black or silver chrome, too. And The shutter is just perfect.
Gregm61 Posted June 17, 2016 Share #4 Posted June 17, 2016 The Gorilla Glass back LCD seems pretty good at resisting scratches so far for me. Wouldn't this be someone one could do via the ala cart system Leica offers? That would make your camera unique. Even better, no?

I just want the quiet shutter and the new sensor to go with my beloved M9-P: Leica M9-P With Zeiss C-Sonnar 50/1.5, January 22, 2016 by Maggie Osterberg, on Flickr
Gregm61 Posted June 18, 2016 Share #6 Posted June 18, 2016 Oh, I'm certain it would cost plenty, which is why I'll keep my M262 as-is for now. Just received a black paint M9 previously converted to M9-P specs back from Leica to get the sensor switched out. I know what you mean. They are beautiful pieces.
