leffe Posted June 13, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Help, just did the software update and it somehow failed. When I put in the battery it immediately shows ERR. Tried to redo the update which did not change anything. Any similar experiences, or even better a solution? Advertisement Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Hi leffe, Take a look here Leica M-D 262 Software Update 1.0.0.4 ERR. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
leffe Posted June 14, 2016 Author Share #2 Posted June 14, 2016 The solution is to take out the battery. Then put the time wheel to B (Bulb), press the shutter for some seconds. That completely gets the electricity out of the system. Very large thank you to the guys at Leica Store Munich! 3

Today, I attempted to update the firmware on my new M-D Typ 262 camera, and encountered the same issue. I was trying to upgrade from version 1.0.0.4 to 1.1.0.0, but received the "ERR" message. Your suggested method proved to be the only effective solution. Thank you!
