Guest sirvine Posted June 7, 2007 Share #21 Â Posted June 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I personally love the look of chrome lenses, but only those with a classical form. The CV15 and Dual-Range Summicron are two lenses I love the look of. The chrome 50 Lux Asph leaves me cold, on the other hand, as does the 90 Apo Cron. Something about modern design and chrome finish doesn't work for me. I would love to trade my 35 Cron Asph for a chrome version. Â I have the Chrome CV 15 on my black M8 (it was the only color available). It looks quite good, if you ask me. In fact, I think I prefer it to to the black/black combo. For faster lenses (used in low light more often), chrome might be a little easier to read in the dark, too. Â Let's face it, we're all going to end up with both body colors eventually anyway, right? wparsonsgisnet Posted June 7, 2007 Share #23 Â Posted June 7, 2007 Well...thanks again to Gareth for spending my money, too. Last nite, I bot the silver CV15 he didn't want and this morning added a (silver) Leica-brand IR-cut filter. Â So, kudos to Tony Rose at Popflash for the great service and even offering me a choice of silver or black filters. Â Soon, I'll be able to indulge my newly acquired desire to take landscapes. As a 35mm photog this has never been much of an option but the M8 has changed all that. Â The detail and particularly the shadow detail in the images from this camera are transforming my expections, photography, and buying practices (hence the new CV15). Â Now ... to check out the nail polish counter at the store. Hot and Wild, I believe.... Â Regards,
