steppenw0lf Posted May 9, 2016 Share #21 Posted May 9, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Tried to find infos about Panasonic AF, but found only a camera with specs that sound a bit familiar (not exactly, but quite). Panasonic Lumix GX8 http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonic-lumix-dmc-gx8-review Is this the little Japanese half sister of the SL (same father, different mother) ? But only with 49 focus points. Advertisement Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Hi steppenw0lf, Take a look here 1Point AF?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Leicaiste Posted May 9, 2016 Share #22 Posted May 9, 2016 I'd like to have your problems ... simply wait and see. Stephan In the meantime use a Summilux-R 1.4/80 with focus peaking. Maybe this will give you some confidence again. Or maybe you have a Contax 1.2/85. Or have you tried a Noctilux (any version) ? It works quite nicely with focus peaking. (ok, maybe not if it is really dark). By the way, a 280mm with f 4 has less depth of field than a 1.4/50 . I only use M and R lenses with the SL for the time being, including the R-80/1,4 and M-50/1,0.
