carlos diaz Posted June 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Gentlemen, Does anyone know where I might find a 43mm IR CUT filter? I'm heading for Europe in two weeks and would love to record the blacks, rich and true! Thanks Carlos

bingaloid Posted June 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2007 I ordered a B+W #486 from Cambridge this morning, on the phone it sounded like they had plenty. I looked around a bit online and this is the only store I could find that had anything like this in stock. http://cambridgeworld.com - David

Guest tummydoc Posted June 6, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 6, 2007 Good luck with that. If you get the filter and not just a charge on your credit card and a backorder notification then Cambridge must be under new management.
marknorton Posted June 6, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 6, 2007 I bought mine for an old 50mm/1.4 from Foto-Huppert in Germany. B+W, works fine.

marknorton Posted June 6, 2007 Share #8 Posted June 6, 2007 Just a word of warning about RW - if you ask them for Leica IR filters, they will say they have them, where actually they have B+W filters, thinking they are one and the same. They are not. For 43mm, B+W is the only show in town.
stevme Posted June 6, 2007 Share #9 Posted June 6, 2007 Willkommen bei Foto Huppert on line store is a good source of B+W cut filters. I have had very good experience with them. Put "486" in the search, "Suchen", box. Steve
