pemayeux Posted June 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had heard that Dwayne's Photo - the last K-14 processor worldwide was going to stop processing Kodachrome at the end of this year. Out of curiousity I emailed them asking if they were going to cease processing K-14 at the end of this year - below is their response: Paul Mayeux, Thank you for your question. We do not have any plans to discontinue Kodachrome any time soon. Please let me know if you require additional assistance. ______________________________ Sincerely, Krystal Dwayne's Photo PO Box 274 415 S. 32nd Street Parsons, KS 67357 620-421-3940 800-522-3940 fax 620-421-3174 A trusted name in photo processing for over 50 years - Dwayne's Photo At least we'll have it for a while longer. budrichard Posted June 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2007 I suspect that Kodak has a hand in assuring Kodachrome continues to be processed since Kodak is still selling K64 and there are stocks of K25(dwindling), K64 and K200(recently discontinued). I would expect of that if there was no photofinisher, then Kodak would have to 'eat' some Kodachrome. My K25 is just about gone, layed in a few bricks of K200 and just lately a few of K64. With the 'handwriting on the wall', when these stocks are gone its Fuji and Velvia for me.-Dick
