LeicaQ Quick Review

Nice write up and nice pic Michelle. I have the same feeling about this camera. It can go everywhere with me and is definitely lighter than my M + MFB + lens which I like to keep for planned photo. I think 35mm with the Q is just fine and in fact very close to an M experience with a view of the bigger picture. It helps to better compose. AF and Macro is a really nice addition for an M shooter. For the next Q an additional OVF would be nice even if it has very limited or no info in it besides the 35mm and maybe (not sure) the 50mm lines and possibly parallax adjustment.

2nd the OVF on the next Q. Its the one thing I really miss from my Fuji X100 which was great especially in low light. It would make the Q even closer to a perfect travel camera.

Yes. One photo. Half a webpage of comments.

Indeed. I'm not a technician or a photo nerd. Only a photographer and I wanted to share my personal impressions traveling the world with the Q. You are not forced to read it if you don't like it. :)

Short and sweet, well done, nothing wrong with it for the Facebook generation!

But if you post here at the forum, filled with us nerds, I imagine there are some who have bigger expectations for short reviews  B)

Disagree, coming from the X100, X100s and X100t and a XPro2 (I do like my Fuji's just not the OVF lol)

Issue with the OVF on those cameras is that you have no idea if your subject is actually in focus.  You can have the AF box on the subject and it can give the confirmation light, but then you review the shot and the AF was actually on the background.

For me, this makes an OVF pretty useless as I can't judge focus or exposure etc from it.  All strengths of the EVF, what you see is what you get
