JBonner Posted June 4, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted June 4, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been trying to convince my early R lenses to work on this camera, with no luck. I have a third party adapter which appears to fit well and which I presume to be a copy of the outrageously expensive Leitz one. Whatever I do I cannot activate the shutter release. Is it simply a matter of a dodgy adapter or am I doing something wrong here. Â All advice would be gratefully received. Â So far the D3 seems quite good - I received mine as a half-price deal from Leica UK rather than wait for my D2 sensor to be repaired. We shall see..... You need to go into the setup menu and reset it so the camera will allow the shutter to fire without a lens attached ... the default setting is "off." spylaw4 Posted June 4, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted June 4, 2007 And make sure that you lock the setting into the setup - you may need to use one of the Custom Setups for this.
