HI!

I came across tow days ago trying to use my SL.

When I look thro the EVF to focus on my subject, it looks sharp and good.

When I shot it and wanted to review it in the auto review LCD screen I realised it was blurred. The blur

was not hand shake. This is the first time I came across this problem. I tried camera reset but this problem

still appear. I used M adaptor with M lenses. I thought it was the M lenses problem, so I switched different

focal length lenses and still blur?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Alex,

I am a new and very happy SL owner as well but like you was confused as to why images looked so pixelated when magnified in camera.  If you shoot in RAW the SL apparently does not generate a high resolution jpg image so if you change to RAW+JPG it fixes the problem.  When saving images I copy only the RAW files.  Not the most elegant solution and I would hope Leica could fix however, I still am loving the SL and the 24-90mm.

Cheers,

Gale

I noticed this as soon as I shot some images with my new SL.  It's a flaw, I think.  I don't want to use up SD card space taking JPEGs just for the sake of seeing it correctly in the LCD. Is this some thing that could be fixed with firmware?

Makes me appreciate just how good the M-240 LCD is...

They could include the image data needed for the display into the DNG file. However, the DNG file would grow by about the amount of space you would "save" by omitting the JPG file.
