Kimiimacman Posted March 28, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 28, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can anyone please advise if I can apply for my passport online rather than by post please? Because I bought the Q online from Park Cameras my application form isn't dealer stamped and just thought it would be a whole lot easier to do this online. Thanks Simon
Advertisement Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Hi Kimiimacman, Take a look here Passport Application help? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pedaes Posted March 29, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2016 Don't think so. You have to send copy of receipt with the application form, so lack of Dealer stamp should not matter.

microview Posted March 29, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 29, 2016 Odd: mine came from Park's London store but was stamped. (Had to go back for the missing mains cable however!) Passport address is not Leica Mayfair but: Leica Camera Ltd PO Box 716 High Wycombe Bucks HP11 1XT
Herve5 Posted March 29, 2016 Share #5 Posted March 29, 2016 I don't have anything like a passport in my french-bought Q...
microview Posted March 29, 2016 Share #6 Posted March 29, 2016 On Red Dot Cameras site (and elsewhere) Leica have announced that items purchased as of April 1st 2016 will no longer be issued Passport cover.
andybarton Posted March 29, 2016 Share #7 Posted March 29, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't have anything like a passport in my french-bought Q... Passport cover is (was) only available to purchasers in the UK, with a UK address. It was a benefit offered by Leica UK, and not Leica AG Apparently, the costs of providing such insurance had become prohibitive, which is why it has been discontinued. Kimiimacman Posted April 9, 2016 Author Share #8 Posted April 9, 2016 Well, my passport turned up this week giving me 12 months cover so I guess I got it in just in time:-))
Philjh Posted April 9, 2016 Share #9 Posted April 9, 2016 I can go one better. My Q was bought in the middle of March with only two weeks until the deadline. I send off for my passport with a stamped application form but left out the receipt and received back TWO Leica passports in separate envelopes!
