Archiver Posted March 22, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) My preferred AF mode in general is single-point AF which remains fixed until you half-press the shutter button during recording, whereupon the camera refocuses. Does the Q do this? Some cameras stop recording video when you press the shutter button halfway. Fuji does this in some of their cameras, as does Ricoh. I'm hoping that the Q doesn't! Is there a continuous AF mode in the Q, where it will automatically adjust itself depending on what it sees? If so, how good is it? Can you manually focus during video recording with the Q? Can you click the focus ring out of AF into Manual and focus after you've begun recording? I'm not expecting the Q to be a work camera for video, but I'm hoping that it has a minimum set of focus features. Thank you for any answers!

Leica Guy Posted March 22, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 22, 2016 In video you can choose either one time focus or continuous focus. Both work very well. I assume manual focus also works well although I've not tried that. See the other thread on video resolution.
