Bendeil Posted March 10, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 10, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use the Sl for a week now and a problem I run into is unwillingly pressing buttons on the back of the camera. It sounds weird but while looking through the viewfinder I sometimes press a button with my nose. Suddenly an already made picture appears in the viewfinder. Or the I button is pressed and the horizon suddenly appears. I went through the manual but couldn't find a way to lock the buttons. Anybody else with the same experience and a solution? Peter Walker Posted March 10, 2016 Share #3 Posted March 10, 2016 To get to image preview, you have to make a short press on the upper right button. I can't imagine how you can do that with your nose unwillingly. You can change a setting so that the top left button, which is the only button that should be near to the nose, can be deactivated when the EVF is activated. Ingo Posted March 10, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 10, 2016 Do you use your left eye?
Bendeil Posted March 10, 2016 Author Share #5 Posted March 10, 2016 I use my left eye. May be it is better to become a right eye shooter. I also think that pressing the buttons happens when I really have to work fast and then I accidentally touch buttons I don't want to touch. The key lock only works for the top dial and the rear dial, I hoped I could also use it for other buttons. Thanks!
