adli Posted February 26, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 26, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone tried the Sun Sniper or similar slings on the SL? Any pros and cons? So far I have used the original strap, but with the 24-90, the camera seems a bit unbalanced. With prime lenses the balance is better. How is a sling in use on the SL? Budfox Posted February 29, 2016 Share #3 Posted February 29, 2016 Funnily enough I used it just last week for the first time with the SL and 24-90 at my son's 5th birthday party in the park with 20 other energetic 4-5 year olds. I needed to have quick access to the camera, but also readily switch to having both hands free. It worked really well. It is designed for heavier pro-SLR type cameras so that is not surprising. You just need to remember you have a large solid appendage sticking out of your right buttock in case of close calls with hard objects, or worse a 4 or 5 year old's head darting past your right hip. lik Posted February 29, 2016 Share #4 Posted February 29, 2016 I used sun sniper for years now but changed to peak design slide and clutch. As sun sniper also not a beauty like some leather straps but very very comfortable - more than sun sniper, slides better. https://www.peakdesign.com/product/straps/ Regards lik
