dpattinson Posted June 1, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) For anyone who is currently using Picasa - there is a new version posted here: Picasa: Free download from Google which will display M8 DNG files. The previous version of Picasa will not upgrade automatically so you have to visit the link, download the file and install over the top. DNG's look fine, and all the editing controls work as well David.
Advertisement Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Hi dpattinson, Take a look here New version of Picasa supports M8 DNG. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MP3 Posted June 2, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 2, 2007 Hi David, my previous Picasa was corrupted and I downloaded the new Picasa as an easy viewerjust the other day. Wow, it reads M8 DNGs, not only reads but the color is quite good as well. With sufficient memory, say 2 GB on board, Picasa is quite fast in viewing M8's DNGs. Highly recommended. dpattinson Posted June 2, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted June 2, 2007 Agreed on the memory - my laptop has 1GB and attempting to view the DNG at 1:1 has my CPU maxed out until I kill the process.
