Leica M8 Test Drive

Leica UK don't have a great track record (in my experience) of marketing initiaitves, but here's something I haven't seen before, the opportunity from participating dealers to test drive an M8 (complete with 35/2 ASPH and IR filter) for a period, presumably a few (10?) days.

 

I assume you have to make a security deposit and it's not clear who pays to get the camera to you and back - £4400+ - but if there are people sitting on the fence in denial of how good this M8 thing is, it might just tip the balance.

 

Also suggests that, here at least, the initial rush has subsided and now it's going to be more of a slog to sell these things.
