hdrmd Posted June 2, 2007 Share #21 Posted June 2, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I took the 50mm summicron from my M2 and I use it every day on the M8. It was made sometime in the 60's, and it is still working. What a great lens in it'sown right. DR
Advertisement Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Hi hdrmd, Take a look here Summilux 35mm F1.4 / Summicron F2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MP3 Posted June 2, 2007 Share #22 Posted June 2, 2007 One 35mm: Take the Lux asph, it's all round, the only asph with the '70-'80 leitz look. Two 35mm: Take the Lux asph and the IV Cron, good sharpness, smooth bokeh and great tones. Both are fine for bright sunlight shooting. Consider the asph Cron only when you want a 3rd 35mm lens - Yes, it is the sharpest and most constrasty one. Good for low light indoor. Mind you that I would avoid the 35 and 28 asph cron in constrasty bright sunlight, I now see why Sean always include the sunny day lens in his various lens review. Just my 2 cents. carstenw Posted June 2, 2007 Share #23 Posted June 2, 2007 My 2 cents: get the 35/2A, and get the 50/1.4A as well. Fantastic lens, and less problematic than the 35/1.4A.
