gbrldz Posted January 18, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Greetings! I'm new here and new to Leicas and rangefinders in general. Hell, I've never shot with a rangefinder before. I've also never thought I'd ever own a Leica, but my M7 came in over the weekend and I'm itching to shoot. I do have one problem... I still don't have a lens. I'm trying to get a 35mm Summicron ASPH. I just lost two auctions on eBay which were pretty decent. Looking back at it, I regret not purchasing one at the BIN price with box, papers, inspection certificate, etc. Oh well, I guess my search is still on. Maybe I can find one here. It's nice to be with you all. -Gabe

Jeff S Posted January 22, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 22, 2016 Welcome. I recommend that you buy (camera and lenses, whether new or used) from a reputable Leica dealer with warranty and a good service/return policy. There are good dealers in the area, and many others elsewhere that ship (no tax) and have a terrific reputation. Some of them advertise on the forum and participate in forum discussions. Always a good idea to carry insurance, too, to cover situations the warranty may not. Happy shooting. Jeff
