barjohn Posted January 7, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 7, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) In his review he is showing the SL with it's AF zoom to fail to AF properly as it tends to front focus both at 90 mm and at 49mm. His examples clearly demonstrate this phenomenon especially as the lens is wide open. It is covered up to some degree (not fully) as DOF increases due to stopping down the lens. I haven't seen anyone here report this issue but it is very evident in his examples. Did he just get a defective SL or lens or is this a problem with all SLs and lens copies? By the way he demonstrated the front focus shift of the lens using MF as well. With CDAF this shouldn't happen thus the question if this is a one off problem or not.
