dougbrun Posted May 31, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am flying into Edinburgh and am looking for suggestions as to where I can buy film, Fuji Velvia specifically. I am tired of pleading at airport security to hand inspect my film and am hopeful that purchasing abroad might be an option. Any suggestions as to a vendor not too far from the airport would be appreciated. I am picking up my car at the airport then heading north. Thanks so much. Doug, with Fuji Velvia, at either 50 or 100 ASA, there shouldn't be any problems at all caused by X-raying, even with multiple stopovers, as long as you carry your films in your hand luggage. I have done it numerous times and never ever had any problems. In my view, your risk is greater when buying film abroad, as you never know about storage conditions etc. Cheers, Andy
andybarton Posted May 31, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 31, 2007 Any Jessops on the "High Street" will keep Velvia, probably in a fridge. The main Manchester branch, which calls itself "The World Camera Centre" does.
