jaypes23 Posted January 6, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey guys, I'm looking to purchase a Minolta CLE as a backup for my Leica and was wondering if anyone has experience or knows if a Zeiss 35mm F2 Biogon will fit on the body? I understand that quite a few Leica lenses don't fit the CLE because of the smaller body size. Help a brother out!

Rob L Posted January 8, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 8, 2016 There is lots of great info on CLEs at RFF. Ken Rockwell has a good a review too, as does CameraQuest. The Biogon works fine but will pull up 28mm frame lines. The issue with some large lenses or hoods is that they may block the small rangefinder window and you will not be able to focus. But I even used the ZM 1.4 Distagon on mine. Works fine.
