yottie Posted May 31, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Have just read the report by the visiting group on the Leitz factory following WW11. I find the brief details of the assembly lines etc quite fascinating. Can any-one point me towards any more info on the factory..production methods..staff.... out-puts, or the like for this period. Thanks Tom

jhild Posted June 1, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 1, 2007 Well, I think after WW11 there will be no more Leitz factory or any other factory left in the world not to mention photters ... Jo
yottie Posted June 1, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted June 1, 2007 I thought you might have understood...the numbers are in "Roman" format. ie. 2 = 11......3 = 111.....4 = 1V.. and so on. Hope you can see this now !! Any-way thanks for your contribution.
Angora Posted June 2, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 2, 2007 Joachim was joking I figure... For roman format, don't use numbers, use letters : I, II, III, IV, V, VI, etc.

Angora Posted June 2, 2007 Share #6 Posted June 2, 2007 It's weird to read, as for Leica 111g instead of IIIg.
