piblondin Posted December 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 15, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) My favorite model, Daria Werbowy, shot, styled, and stars in Equipment's current campaign in which she has what appears to be a Leica M2! Advertisement Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Hi piblondin, Take a look here Daria Werbowy w/ MP in Equipment Campaign. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AAK Posted December 15, 2015 Share #2 Posted December 15, 2015 I looks like an MP to me. The battery compartment is between her 3rd and 4th fingers.
piblondin Posted December 15, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted December 15, 2015 You're right! I wasn't looking there because the mirrored image threw me off. How do I change the subject line?!
pico Posted December 15, 2015 Share #4 Posted December 15, 2015 No need to change.
piblondin Posted December 15, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted December 15, 2015 Haha! Interestingly, I found what appear to be full-res versions of the campaign online and the EXIF indicates they were shot with an M240 and 50mm Summicron. See, for example: http://annagacek.pl/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/E1.jpg I love these shots!
AAK Posted December 16, 2015 Share #6 Posted December 16, 2015 You're right! I wasn't looking there because the mirrored image threw me off. How do I change the subject line?! I don't think too many people will be looking at the subject line. That gorgeous camera will distract the reader!

See, for example: http://annagacek.pl/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/E1.jpg The photograph you linked to couldn't of course be a selfie (which the other article claims these photographs are) as the camera seems too low for the angle of the photograph. In fact, looking at the other photographs in the series, I don't think any of them are real selfies. Interesting though that they were shot with an M240 rather than a camera more typically used for a fashion campaign. Presumably Werbowy (who I hadn't previously heard of) is a bit of a Leica 'fanboy'? She isn't the first nor will she be the last.

Is it a "selfie" if you set up the camera on a tripod and use a self-timer or have someone else press the shutter release? Or do you literally need to be holding the camera in hand? AAK Posted December 16, 2015 Share #10 Posted December 16, 2015 Is it a "selfie" if you set up the camera on a tripod and use a self-timer or have someone else press the shutter release? Or do you literally need to be holding the camera in hand? As someone who shoots primarily film, I think the term "selfie" is best applied to narcissism of the digital sort. Film photographers take self portraits.

Film photographers take self portraits. Selfie or self portrait, does it have to do with narcissm or just catching your own moment in time? philipus Posted December 17, 2015 Share #12 Posted December 17, 2015 Never heard of this person but I prefer the photo this way. It's a 35 Biogon too. No need to change.
