hoppyman Posted December 11, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am gaining more experience with the new S, largely in a studio environment. I shoot beauty/fashion and art styles there. My usual practice is to make a calibration shot for white balance with an Xrite target but I have not otherwise adjusting colour in developing. Coming from some thousands of frames with the S2 in the same environment, my impression is that the files from the new sensor have much more muted colour (using the Adobe Standard profile) especially noticeable with more saturated reds. I tried the Embedded profile which certainly noticeably increases the saturation there but the red 'correction' makes for red tinted whites (cyclorama). Maybe the better answer is somewhere in the middle. I guess I may need to make a custom profile using the approved method with target and controlled light sources. I would welcome any suggestions from anyone working with the S regarding profile adjustments/colour settings on import that you may be using, or general discussion of course.
