Tony C. Posted May 30, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm sure that the answer is simple, but I can't seem to figure it out... when using lightroom, let's say that one chooses the loupe function, and zooms in 1:1 (as an aside, is that what some also refer to as a 100% crop?). Is there then some way to save the magnified (cropped) image? If so, how? Thanks in advance. Regards, Tony C.
Advertisement Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Hi Tony C., Take a look here Very basic Lightroom question.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robertwright Posted May 30, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 30, 2007 No. Not unless you do a screen capture. When you crop (shortcut R) you are returned to the full view. You could just remember the area you want to isolate and crop to that. But it is not like photoshop where you could use the marquee tool or even the crop tool at whatever scale percentage you are viewing.
ken_tanaka Posted May 30, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 30, 2007 Hello Tony. The zoomed image displayed in the Lightroom loupe window is, of course, just another view of your image. The only way to "save" an image of that view is to use a utility to capture the screen at that point.
robertwright Posted May 30, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 30, 2007 The other issue is that the screen image is not "the" image, it is a jpeg preview. If you are enlarging 100% views with the idea of making donald duck review then you would want to render tiffs, crop those in photoshop and then resize and jpeg that. (and "duck" out of the way of the flames.)
