rsmphoto Posted June 1, 2017 Share #83  Posted June 1, 2017 Doesn't work here either.  I should add to my earlier post that I have been using LIS in conjunction solely with LR CC using a hot folder. On a MBP late 2016. Very stable now.
ski542002 Posted June 2, 2017 Share #84 Â Posted June 2, 2017 It's funny, I re-read my various replies to this thread since early 2017 and with all of the ups-and-downs regarding the success of tethering my solution has pushed me to now using C1Pro almost exclusively, using a hot folder. Â Shot an architectural job a few weeks ago and the live view function on the laptop was a joy to use. Â My interior-designer/client viewed the laptop screen as I tweaked my composition in-camera. At first I thought using C1 was kludgy, but that was my impatience and unfamiliarity with the C1 interface. Â I happened upon a LR to C1 migration video and with a few hot-tips, the migration has been super smooth. Â There are adjustments in C1 that LR doesn't do anywhere near as well IMO. Â And one of the best features is, in spite of the lowly 12" MacBook's lack of horsepower, C1 works fantastically tethering into the MacBook. Â LR chokes completely on that laptop. Â Â I've yet to try tethering LR to my SL after all of the most recent updates to the LR-tether plugin, LIS, and SL firmware, but I'm so pleased with C1, I might not even try to reinvestigate LR. ramarren Posted June 2, 2017 Share #85 Â Posted June 2, 2017 I tested tethering LIS and SL with the latest LIS and v3 firmware on the SL yesterday. Worked first time, no problems at all. Nothing special about the setup: bog standard MacBook Air 13" with latest OS and other software on it. Â I haven't installed LR on it yet.

That's good to know. Because I use both the S and the SL for tethered architecture, I'm committed to LR for the moment, but having worked many years with Phocus before migrating to Leica, I certainly feel the loss of certain features that I preferred with that app. I suspect C1 might be have some of those missed features I enjoyed with Phocus, but practicality keeps me in the LR camp for now. Funny how Phase just refuses to support the S with profiles.... still. I think they'd have a lot of converts.
