Has anyone had this issue with their Q?

I shoot still photography and not video.  My Q has an issue when I am shooting still's, the icons at the top of the LCD will turn from the white balance, file format, exposure metering and so on to a little video camera.  I do not know what causes this or what the video camera is about.  I have to do a system reset to get my normal icons back.  The icons in playback are not affected.  Does anyone else have this issue or know where that little video camera comes from?

It's because you are probably pressing the 'Set' button accidently. If you press this it toggles between the stills screen and the video screen. If you press it a third time it will just give you a liveview screen with no icons. Try it.

You shouldn't have to reset the camera, just press the set button to choose which of the 3 screens you want. It really should be dependant on what mode you are in.

That is exactly what it is!!  Thank you very much.  Did you find this in the manual somewhere?

The set button also toggles between display modes when in review mode.   Took a lot of head scratching to figure out why sometimes I saw the histogram, for example, and other times I didn't.  I did not see that in the manual.  It doesn't seem to be mentioned at all in the section of Review mode.   And why does one hit the PLAY button to enter review mode... shouldn't it be called PLAY mode :)
