Hi

I saw a hand grip from Fotodiox Pro Metal for analog M   cameras. Is somebody using it and what are your experiences?

Thank you for feedback!

I don't have Fotodiox but I use Leica M hand grip

To prevent it even with the protection of leather or plastic on the metal strap

(based on 40 years experience on Leica M cameras or R)

and to prevent that the metal parts touch and scratch when we replaced cameras in the billingham bag.

I do not like scratches and I am careful in nature

Look at this thread ;

I have 2 hand grips on my two M analog camera M7 and MP

cheaper if chinese made (but I think it's the same factory that makes for Leica) , fast shipment (10 days)

Thank you Doc!

I have a Leica grip for my M6 and looking for antherone for my M7 because handling is much more convenient. I will go for Fotodiox and will give a short review.

Always very much interested in your contribution here in the forum.

The nicest grip I ever found was the M-L Grip

Once it has been screwed into the tripod mount, it is solid and it stays in place when you take the baseplate off (there is a cut-out to reach the baseplate lock). It also has its own tripod mount in the centre under the lens.

Also a fan of the ML grip from PhotoEquip. I use them on both of my M6's and love the handling characteristics that they impart to the bodies. The little battery compartment holds a spare and a small emergency microfiber cloth. The centered tripod mount and baseplate protection are also a big plus.
