Unless someone makes and sells an accessory I'm unaware of I gather the only option would be to use the built in flash to optically trigger an external flash unit in order to get a sufficient amount of light for most situations. Advertisement Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Hi rbaron, Take a look here How To Use EVF + Flash on X 113?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
asiafish Posted November 18, 2015 Share #2 Â Posted November 18, 2015 No way to mount both. Â I will say that the built-in is great for daylight fill, and since the X has a leaf shutter, it will sync at any shutter speed.
robert blu Posted November 19, 2015 Share #3  Posted November 19, 2015 I do not owna 113 but with my x1 with the OVF on the hot shoe I used a small external flash by Metzt (CS28) triggered but the internal flash of the camera.  See post 3 here. You can bounce it on a wall, on the ceiling or where you prefer. I think it could be a good solution on the 113 as well. Small and not expensive, maybe with an e-bay search you can find one. I hope this halps. robertyou. I hope this halps. robertyou.  Thanks, this could be what I am looking for,  I've got some larger Metz and Canon flashes and some old optical slave triggers but limited testing so far shows I need to have the X 113 flash pointed almost straight at the optical slave triggers to get them to fire the flash they are attached to.   I just took a quick look on eBay and saw several Metz CS34 flash units listed at good prices.  Do you know if this is just a larger version of the CS28?  I sure wish there was a way to use my Pocket Wizard wireless gear but nobody seems to put pc sockets on these cameras anymore. Â I looked at the Nissin SC-01 cable on the B&H site and I see it would work with an optical viewfinder but I can't tell if it would work with the Leica Electronic Viewfinder Part Number 020. Â Do you use the Leica EVF with this cable?
