Steve Ricoh Posted November 7, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) The protective cap covering the flash shoe on the M240 and the VF-2 both have a locking pin that engage with the flash shoe. Pressing the release mechanism on top of the protective cover disengages the pin for easy release, but I can't see anything similar on the VF-2. I may be missing something here, or not as the case may be. Perhaps it's a case of pulling the VF-2 and the pin will retract, but I don't want to cause any damage, particularly to the camera. Any advice would be welcome.

LocalHero1953 Posted November 7, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 7, 2015 Just pull it! That's what I do. No damage yet.
ramarren Posted November 7, 2015 Share #3 Posted November 7, 2015 I think the pin on the VF-2 is just lightly spring loaded. I just pull it off the camera, whether that is the M-P or one of my Olympus bodies, and there has been no damage whatever.
