What's the best picture setting (contrast, saturation, sharpness) for:

1. Portrait

my setting: sharpness high, contrast medium low, saturation standard

2. B&W Portrait

3. Places & Things

my setting: shartpness high, contrast standard, saturation medium high

i wanna know advise from Leica expert regarding this to make sure i can get better IQ.

I agree with Dan.

While I asked myself the same question when I first got the camera, once Adobe had a camera profile, DNG is the way to go!  The Adobe profile, color-wise, is head and shoulders above the jpg embedded color profile.

After that, the rest is easy.  Add a little clarity and vibrance so the files are not so flat and all is good.

Best,

Ed

Can only echo the above. I have 2 profiles setup (one for color and one for B&W) but that is purely to give me a better estimate of the end result I am looking for. The jpg images from the Q aren't bad but they aren't fantastic (Fuji nail this) so DNG is definitely the way to go.
