My M246 baseplate fits snugly on my M240. My M240 baseplate fits snugly on my M246. So why am I getting this weird behavior with the M246 baseplate on the M246? Has this happened to other people? Thanks, Dante The same has happened to my M240 and that of a couple of guys at FM. However, my base plate lock has developed the dangling syndrom so I sent it to Leica Singapore where they fixed the lock for me, and now it fits much better with the faintest of play. I believe it is caused by the body leatherette being uneven, so some plates will fit better than others. Paulus Posted November 1, 2015 Share #3 Posted November 1, 2015 I worked with a M240 which baseplate did not go so easily. Looking at it, it looked as if the plate was pulled of the camera at the baseplate lock to far and torded on the pin-> hole part. Leaving the baseplate slightly bent.
