adam80 Posted October 29, 2015 Share #21 Posted October 29, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think they did a really good job with the lens/sensor combo and whatever software corrections they've included. I have been looking at the q image thread since it started and a lot of the pictures are truly impressive. The 28mm lens and the way the camera is setup is fantastic, coming from an rx1r I'm much happier, maybe for others coming from an M it maybe a slight letdown but I really can't see why. If I had an m this would be it's perfect companion for those times where there is not enough time/light for manual focus. A 50mm q would be a dream come true

Juchelka Posted October 29, 2015 Share #22 Posted October 29, 2015 Sorry everyone! I may be barking up the wrong tree in responding to Andrews comments. I'll follow the debate with an open mind. I'd like to be able to visually recognise the perceived problem if anyone can show an example. As far as using image stabilisation, I understood that he facility is designed to be used when shooting video. I haven't used it on stills. No, it is all good Gordon, I think we are all trying to get to the bottom of it and I agree with your comment. I come from the Canon world, so I need examples of M vs. Q in this particular contex. adam80 Posted October 29, 2015 Share #23 Posted October 29, 2015 Just to add, I find the manual focus works very well too, the focus peaking is the best I've experienced even in poor light and when I'm not shooting moving things I love using it
