I'm new to RF having previously used AF micro 4/3, and prior to that a film SLR, with a gap inbetween with point and shoot 1" sensor, or possibly smaller.

I've always wanted a Leica and decided to go ahead, after all this life I have isn't a dress rehersal, when you've gone you've gone! May first day out shooting with M240 was on Saturday just gone, and found it particularly difficult for street work. I switched to 'A' and zone focusing, but still managed to miss several shots (the ones that get away are always the best, aren't they, just like fishing stories!). I resisted the temptation to bag the 240 and pull out the AF M4/3, since I have to learn, and practise is the only known way to do this.

If anyone has any tips for RF use, please let me know.

Steve.

Welcome Steve! You set yourself a stiff target, learning how to use a RF camera in a demanding street scenario. You will find it easier to practise on static targets in and around your home. Set distances, repeatedly, until you don't have to think about it. Working out your best method for determining exposure until you repeatedly get consistent results. Then there is post-processing the Leica files, learning how to maximise their intrinsic quality. When you feel fluent in camera operation, set yourself some individual projects and see how you go. Discuss any problems here. Enjoy your Leica photography.
