marcelgladbach Posted October 5, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 5, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, As my Leica M-A is for sale now, i'm looking for a Leica MP Body, and wanted to ask, if there are material differences between the black and silver bodies, like in the M Lenses? madNbad Posted October 5, 2015 Share #2 Posted October 5, 2015 No, all of the MP top plates are brass.
semi-ambivalent Posted October 5, 2015 Share #3 Posted October 5, 2015 M-As haven't been around for very long. Might I ask why you're selling? Regards, s-a
ThePioneer Posted October 6, 2015 Share #4 Posted October 6, 2015 I guess that they must have changed their mind about needing an in-camera meter. Not everyone enjoys working with a handheld meter.
marcelgladbach Posted October 7, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted October 7, 2015 Thanks for your answers. There is another thing i would like to know: I have seen MP's with different kinds of leather (the fine grain leather, and a larger structured one) does this in any way respond to the factory date? @semi-ambivalent: I sell my M-A, because i've found myself in too many situations, where i didn't have the time to make an external reading. wattsy Posted October 7, 2015 Share #6 Posted October 7, 2015 Marcel, as far as I know all standard stock MP bodies come with the same "bath mat" covering and this hasn't changed during production. Other covers are available through the à la carte programme.
