Einst_Stein Posted October 1, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 1, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have this annoying infinite mismatch on infinite and is on and off. I have found it helps by clean-up the lens mount and M9 focus roller in the body, but it is not always the answer. I have read some post suggesting DIY to adjust the focusing screw, I would not trust that process, at least I would not trust myself for such work. I wonder what caused the focus drift, and how can I prevent or minimize it. I found I have the habit to leave the lens at infinite. This is the position that the lens has its focusing edge push towards the body, therefore hen switching lens, the focus mechanics is subject to the most pressure. If this causes the focusing edge to be wear out or pushed away from the body, it will cause the infinite mismatch, and perhaps focus error in any distance. I wish Leica or Leica experts can comment if this is true. Until then, I will change my habit to leave the lens at 0.7m.
