New Jersy to Benowitz service response time

I was having severe focus issues with my 10k manual focus M8, at horizontal viewing the focus was off about a 3mm shift. In the vertical position there was no hope as to your best guess for the focus point.

 

Tried some different lenses and they all seemed to have the same problem to varying degrees.

 

I kept shooting with the camera afraid to send it in for repair as I was not wanting to wait 4-6 weeks for the repair.

 

Then I did a one day shoot 1000 images 300 with the M8 and 700 with the 1dsmkii, having the images up on lightroom and sorting through for the keepers i quickly realized how many out of focus shots I got. there were some from the Canon also, but evident the focus point got confused.

 

Shipped the M8 and the 35 LUX to New Jersey and within 9 days the camera and lens was at my door 2nd day ups fixed!

 

My question is why did I wait so long to get it fixed?

 

If anybody has the same issue i would suggest sending the camera in for repair right away the longer you wait the longer it will take to get back!

 

By the way I was told the the New Jersey office has only one man the works on "M" cameras.
