TheGodParticle/Hari Posted September 23, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey guys, Picking up my Q today Quick question - haven't found the answer anywhere yet ... At what FL does the Q shoot macro/close ups? I know it defaults to f2.8 and focuses down the 17cm. but what is it capturing? Is it a 28mm macro lens? Does it do close focus at 35mm/50mm? I'm liking the close focus images I see coming out of the Q and is one of the reasons for buying. Thank you for the help, Hari
Advertisement Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Hi TheGodParticle/Hari, Take a look here Q Macro / Close Focus. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
enQuirer Posted September 23, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 23, 2015 Hari, As the Q has a fixed focal length lens it must shoot the macro image at 28mm. The 35mm and 50mm ‘settings’ are just crops off the 28mm field of view, just like the same implementation with normal range views. The minimum focusing distance of 17cm is the same whichever frame you choose. Hope this helps.
