jacksparrow Posted May 24, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi to the experts here, I've just got a couple of Fujichrome Sensia 100. It is a slide film, but I want to try it for cross-processing as regular negative C-41 film. Anybody here has ever done that? do I need to over-expose/under-expose when shooting? I think I recall reading that it should be exposed +2 stops, but I'm not sure about it. thanks
Advertisement Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Hi jacksparrow, Take a look here cross-processing. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
frc Posted May 24, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 24, 2007 AFAIK normal exposure. The colours will be like the 80's fashion photograpy. Nice effect but no more than that IMHO.
echorec Posted May 25, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 25, 2007 I did it in the 90s and got best results with a slight over-exposure but not as much as +2 stops.

Mark Antony Posted May 26, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 26, 2007 Shoot it normally, remember to tell your minilab you want it X-Pro or else they might give you slides. I have some examples of X-Pro on my blog. Mark http://photo-utopia.blogspot.com/
azzo Posted May 27, 2007 Share #6 Posted May 27, 2007 Mark Anthony, If I may ask, That b&w image of a man sitting in a doorway, is that shot in Malta ? Do you use colour film and convert to b&w ? If so, which film do you find best as regards retaining detail in the highlights and shadows ? ps I too miss APX, especially the 100. A real pity IMHO. Mark Antony Posted May 27, 2007 Share #7 Posted May 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes it's Malta St Pauls bay area I think No I rarely use colour film and desaturate, If I did I'd use Portra or astia. APX is still here: http://www.retrophotographic.com/agfafilm.htm And so many other great emulsions :-)
