boilerdoc Posted May 24, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is there a listing somewhere that details all the various filter sizes for Leica lenses? i have Puts' Lens Compendium but no filter sizes! i have a Summitar 50 and the Elmarit 135 (goggled) with no real idea on what filters they need, e.g.IR Cut. doubice Posted May 24, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 24, 2007 Stephen, Your Summitar takes special filters, specific to that lens only. I am not sure what the exact diameter is, I would have to measure it at home, with callipers. The Summitar filter threads are deeply inset and the filter itself has a conical shape. Leitz used to make an adapter for other filters to be used on the Summitar but, without my old Leica 'bibles' I can't be more specific. The 135mm Elmarit came in two filter sizes.
