Carlos,

I would be concerned that it might happen again and go ahead and exchange it. It's too bad that Leica doesn't handle the camera the way HP does with their printer, just ship you a replacement, use the box that the replacement was shipped in to return the defective camera and include the return shipper label with the replacement unit. At $5K for the camera this would seem a reasonable way to operate. Guy, any chance you can convince them to do this now that production of the camera has caught up with demand? Also, why is Leica having so much toruble getting lenses out? I have been trying repeatedly to find the 28/2.8 ASPH an no one seems to be able to get it or have it in stock.

Lenses is pretty simple : supply and demand and the demand is huge. Not sure if I was Carlos i would call Robert Fisk in repair and explain what happened at least it is on record and if it does fail than it was already well documented. They still may want to look at it. Worth a call at least and there are M8's now pretty available at most dealers

Guy,

I will do just that. I like the idea of having this all documented..........just in case..........
