Flash SF-58 and PocketWizard

As far as I know the radio triggers only allow manual control.

I tried with a very cheap trigger (XCSource, 2 receivers and a transmitter, ~15€) found on Amazon, works well, no extra cables required.

I've also tried Yongnuo, but the model I used needed a signal from the camera to tell it to transmit; by default it received. This can be overcome by a simple hardware mod to the trigger which I was too lazy to implement. Other Yongnuo models work ok.

I tried PocketWizard Plus X, works ok but you need to buy a cable to connect it to the flash (I got one which goes to the flash hot shoe).

The first one is the smallest and most convenient.

I have used Yongnuo with the transmitter in the shoe of the MFG/flash bar contraption and the receiver on the SF58, handheld off to the side.  It all worked, though I frankly do not remember whether it was on Manual or not.  I had no problem setting up the Yongnuo's for receipt or transmit.
