dennersten Posted May 24, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) How do you buy anything from Artisan and Artist? I have seen the discussions here and the pictures. And realised i really needed a "Image Smith". Tried first to write to the english emailadress. Better to buy within EU. Then there are no taxes on top. But no reply. 3 days ago i tried to order through http://www.artisanandartist.com/ , there is a customer promise. That you should get contacted within 24 hours, but nothing yet ... So you guys with a A&A bag. How did you succeed?

carstenw Posted May 24, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 24, 2007 The U.K. site seems to be defunct, and the U.S. is connected to Photo Village, which at the moment has hardly any nice bag in stock. I bought from Japan, they were fast (once they responded, which took a few days), the shipping was reasonable, and the bag is great. I recommend just dealing with Japan until Photo Village gets more in stock. Check my thread for more information on how to contact them.

mreddington Posted May 24, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 24, 2007 After reading Carsten's message about the Japanese outlet I contacted them. It did take a couple of days before they replied but since then they have been very prompt in the correspondence I have had with them. Martin
icemendicant Posted May 24, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 24, 2007 I have also had problems finding a UK distributor, and so contacted photovillage.com in the US; they supplied two black Evans Walker bags very promptly and with very polite and considerate service. If you email Rich Pinto on rich AT photovillage DOT com I'm sure they will be happy to help. Best regards, Dan
plasticman Posted May 24, 2007 Share #6 Posted May 24, 2007 Hej Håkan! I ordered from PhotoVillage without any problems - they were extremely helpful and efficient, and i picked-up the bag (ACAM 7000) on Monday. The only hold-up was (as you probably realize) Swedish customs, that held up the bag for an extra week and charged me a tasty amount for the pleasure of waiting. The bag is EXTREMELY well-made, but as i said elsewhere, it would be really perfect if it had zippered pockets on the back and/or under the flap, as well as on the outside of the flap. I have a feeling that Tokyo is way too safe for the japanese to think of such measures, that might possibly be needed around some less 'honest' locations around the world... Lycka till!
