piblondin Posted August 27, 2015 Share #1 Posted August 27, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm looking for a well-padded bag or pouch that would fit my MP with a 35mm or 50Mm Summilux attached to the camera body and could protect them against a drop. The bag should not have room for anything else. E.g. If you can fit an extra lens, it's too big. I plan to keep it inside my messenger bag or backpack. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks! Advertisement Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Hi piblondin, Take a look here Well-Padded Bag for Leica + 35mm Lens. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Tony Mac Posted August 27, 2015 Share #2 Posted August 27, 2015 A drop? I'm not sure of too many bags with that much padding... Consider carrying it around in a Pelican 1200 hard case.
piblondin Posted August 27, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted August 27, 2015 I think there are actually quite a few bags that would sufficiently protect against a drop of a 3-4 feet. The challenge for me is finding one that is just big enough to hold the camera and nothing more.
Guest Her Berger Posted August 27, 2015 Share #4 Posted August 27, 2015 Billingham digital and add some foam on the bottom. Space for a MP (or similar) with attached and extra lens. best for a Leica. Imho.

newnew Posted August 27, 2015 Share #6 Posted August 27, 2015 +1. You can fit the camera horizontally to sit on the lens compartments such that it has maximum padding .

Jeff S Posted August 27, 2015 Share #8 Posted August 27, 2015 Option one...buy the insert for one of the Billingham Hadley bags, e.g., the Hadley small....or from one of the many other manufacturers that include removable inserts (A&A?). Or, spend a fortune... http://leicarumors.com/2012/12/17/mcub-a-new-case-for-leica-m-cameras.aspx/ Or, more simply, carry insurance instead of a cumbersome bag. piblondin Posted August 28, 2015 Author Share #9 Posted August 28, 2015 To me, something like the Billingham Digital or the Hadley small is too big for my purposes. Anything that's similarly built and padded that's smaller? My thought now is to just buy a bunch of inserts or foam and pad my existing bag with them.
