steve_l Posted May 22, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've followed this a bit, but until I actually got the lens (WATE!!!!) I admit I wasn't paying enough attention. When you get a 30% discount lens, the passport stub is already removed. The top part of the passport/warranty card is in the box, along with a card telling you how to buy an extended warranty. What warranty do you actually get, and what (if anything) do you have to send in to register for it? Thanks....
Advertisement Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Hi steve_l, Take a look here So what do you send in with 30% discount lenses?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
J_Brittenson Posted May 23, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 23, 2007 I think the conclusion was that Leica USA will register your lens for you before it's shipped, hence the missing card. You can still buy the extended warranty if you like.
James Mitchell Posted May 23, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 23, 2007 That's correct. Leica USA registers for you to keep track of the discounted lenses. They told me so about my recently arrived lens.
