Advertisement Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Hi Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS, Take a look here auto slow sync ???? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jip Posted August 22, 2015 Share #2 Posted August 22, 2015 It means the shutter speed will be of that for a good exposure without flash (LONG) but the flash freezes the subject, meaning you get ambiant light AND the freeze effect from the short but bright flash light. For example with flash light you would have 1/125th normally if you don't use CS lenses. but in slow sync the camera will just do the shutter speed like 1/30th if the ambient light normally would need this for a good exposure. Here is an example: Leica M (Typ 240) with 28mm Elmarit-M 28mm ISO 3200 1 / 8 sec F4 with SF 58 flash to freeze the subject, but 1 / 8 sec to allow ambient light to also get captures.
