pico Posted July 17, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 17, 2015 Not real bad. That looks like my first attempt, too. In my opinion, stand development is most difficult for 35mm because any unevenness (bromide drag) is obvious. Stand development is for MF and larger, and can still be tricky. It is best to use the tank and reel that accepts the most solution. Some systems use a film apron in the reel so they just don't allow enough chemistry. Each roll of film requires about 10ml of Rodinal. That's important. To me that means always mix a full litre, even if you do not use it all at once. You might be more adept than I am when mixing such dilutions, but I finally had to get a very good, glass micro-litre graduate. They are tall and narrow which minimizes measuring error due to surface tension. By the way, all processing that can occur in stand developing is really complete in 40 minutes. Longer is rarely better, but it doesn't hurt! Welcome and good luck! (Oh, while you are up, I will have an Alfa Romeo.)
