Advertisement Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Hi edwardkaraa, Take a look here White spot on brand new APO 90mm M lens. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Leicabuff Posted July 16, 2015 Author Share #22 Â Posted July 16, 2015 I called Leica USA and they sent me a UPS label to ship it for repair. Â Then I thought, lets give it a shot yourself and try to clean it yourself. I thought so many people will touch the lens, from the Custom Officer to the technicians at leica, It can't hurt if I try it harder. Took a new and clean sunglass cloth from its plastic and tried as hard as possible but it didn't work. Then I gave it a bit of hot air from my throat and tried it hard and noticed the spot is gone. I believe it was some sort of white marker from the production or testing. They forgot to clean the lens before packaging. Â Now I will shoot some photos to see if it is sharp or it has back or front focus. I still can use the UPS lable for a month. Â Thank you for all your help and suggestions!
