malthe Posted May 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Just got my M8 (Chrome + 28/f2 + 50/f1.4 + CV15) and everything is hunky-dory, except... the time is standing still! That is, each and every picture I take is recorded to have been taken at exactly the same time, namely the (first time) I set the time/date in the camera. All the pictures I've taken today are recorded as somewhere around "19/05/2007 21:55:XX", the time (except the seconds, which the camera added itself) yesterday eveving when I set the clock, with only a few seconds incrementing along the day (earliest one at 21:55:54, latest at 21:5615... but the earliest one is the not the picture I took first, and the last one is not the picture I took last) Just set the clock to the (now) right time, and yes, the couple of test pictures are now recorded as "20/05/2007 19:49:56". Please tell me I am doing something obvious wrong and that I don't have a faulty unit. Thanks. Malthe

marknorton Posted May 21, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 21, 2007 Bizarre! Unless it's somehow related to the internal battery which keeps the clock running when the main battery is removed, you may have a faulty camera. The internal battery is charged from the main battery, even when the camera is off, but if it's still not right after sitting overnight, I think you should take it back.
